All you need to know about the
ACP Recertification Path

1. Why is re-certification required after three years?

The ACP certification aligns with current standards such as ISO/SAE 21434 and UN R155. Because rules, regulations, and technologies evolve, recertification ensures your qualification reflects the latest state of the art.

2. Do I need to take another exam?

No. Recertification is based entirely on document submission. Your professional experience and training activities are reviewed instead of requiring a new exam.

3. What documents do I need to provide?

You must submit:

  • Proof of continuous work in Automotive Cybersecurity during your certification period.
  • Evidence of completed relevant training (based on your certification level).

4. When should I apply for re-certification?

You can apply:

  • Earliest: 3 months before your certificate expires.
  • Latest: 3 months after expiration.


Note: If you apply after this deadline, recertification is no longer possible. You will need to restart the full certification path, which includes completing the training again, obtaining a new Certificate of Attendance, and successfully passing the TÜV examination.

5. How does the re-certification process work?

  1. Book your recertification via the CYEQT Knowledge Base.
  2. Access submission instructions in the platform.
  3. Upload your documents.
  4. TÜV Rheinland / PersCert TÜV reviews your application and notifies you about the process outcome.
